Sidney Crosby will be the oldest man to play at the IIHF World Championship, only after Ray Whitney in 2010

In the 2010 IIHF World Championship, Ray Whitney represented Team Canada and was also their captain. Whitney was 38 years old, back then. Now, more than a decade later, Sidney Crosby is where Ray Whitney was. Crosby is 37 years old and will represent Team Canada at the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
The World Championship will start from May 9 and last till May 25. Sweden, Denmark, and Stockholm will be hosting the tournaments. The first match of Team Canada will be against Slovakia on May 10. Team Canada’s general manager is Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas.
