BAREILLY: In a rare judgment, a court in Bareilly sentenced Yusuf Ali, 35, to maximum punishment of life imprisonment for forcing his partner to miscarry. The court, however, dropped rape charges against him after it found that "the physical relationship between the woman and Ali, who was her co-worker, was consensual".
The judge also directed SSP Bareilly to take action against IO Bhojipura SHO and circle officer for "improperly filing rape charges".
