NEW DELHI: Spanish midfielder Rodri and Lamine Yamal, a 17-year-old rising star, were selected for
UEFA's Euro 2024 team of the tournament on Tuesday, along with four of their compatriots.
The technical observers from UEFA opted for a 4-3-3 formation, a popular choice throughout the tournament, reported Reuters.
England's Kyle Walker secured a spot in the team for the second consecutive time, making him the sole representative from the English squad.
In the final match, Spain emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over England, clinching their fourth European Championship title.
The remainder of the team was: Mike Maignan (France); Manuel Akanji (Switzerland), William Saliba (France), Marc Cucurella (Spain); Daniel Olmo (Spain), Fabian Ruiz (Spain); Jamal Musiala (Germany), and Nico Williams (Spain).
