After the racial comment, fans have been curious if it was a part of the script or Carlito improvised on his own. Now, as per a report from Fightful Select, it has been revealed that the line did not appear on the official script for the segment.
Sources told Fightful that they were in "disbelief" that the line was actually said, and it was reported that WWE chose not to include it in the digital clips of the segment. The edited version starts after the remark, showing only the conversation between Carlito and Adam Pearce.
The report further stated that WWE backstage was also quite critical of Carlito's racial remark. However, as of writing the piece, Carlito has not responded to the remark while reactions from Sky and her Damage CTRL partner, Sane await. Also, no WWE superstar has spoken anything regarding the remark in public.
