Easy cheese-filled Appe for kid's tiffin

Do you have fussy eaters at home? Then give your kid's a lunch full of nutrients. Well, this easy yet delicious recipe is made with the goodness of veggies, cheese, semolina and curd. This cheese filled Appe can be paired with chutney to make a wholesome tiffin for your kid's lunch.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups semolina, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 cup mixed veggies, 1 tsp chili flakes, 1tsp oregano, 1/2 cup grated cheese, salt, pepper and ghee/oil, 1/2 cup curd.

Step 1

To begin with this easy recipe, wash the veggies.

Now, chop the assorted veggies and assemble them in a bowl and mix it with oregano, chilli flakes, sale and pepper. Add the grated cheese and mix well. Keep the filling aside.

Next, take the cheese cube, grate it well and mix with the veggies. Keep the filling aside.

Next, make a smooth semolina, curd batter by whisking both the ingredients with salt, pepper and baking soda.

Heat an appe pan and grease it with oil/ghee.

Step 6

Pour the half the batter in the molds of appe pan, once it is partially cooked and in the filling at the center and then top it up with another tablespoon of batter.

flip the sides and cook, cover with the lid and let it turn golden on both sides, transfer to a plate and serve with chutney/ketchup.
